Creating content takes time. Many SMBs want to do it, but don't get around to weekly blogs, social posts, and newsletters. AI makes it possible to produce 5-10 outputs with one hour of work per topic — if you set it up smartly.

The content pyramid

The idea is simple: split one in-depth piece of content (the "pillar") into many smaller outputs. A 1,500-word blog yields 5 LinkedIn posts, 1 newsletter, 1 video script, 1 carousel (8 slides), 3-4 tweets, and YouTube shorts.

One topic → 10-15 content pieces. AI does 80% of the work.

The workflow

Step 1: Topic + research (10 min)

Decide on a topic. Ask AI for:

  • 5 possible angles
  • Relevant statistics and figures
  • Common misconceptions to address
  • 3 quotes/experts to mention

Step 2: Pillar content (20 min)

Write an outline. Let AI create a first draft for each section. You review and adjust for accuracy and tone of voice.

Step 3: Visual assets (5 min)

Ask AI for:

  • 2-3 prompts for header images
  • A simple infographic structure
  • Quote cards from the blog

Step 4: Social distillation (10 min)

Feed in the blog and request:

  • 5 LinkedIn posts (different hooks)
  • 3-4 tweets (short, sharp)
  • 1 carousel (8 slides)

Step 5: Newsletter version (5 min)

One compact email version with CTA to the full blog.

Step 6: Video script (10 min)

2-3 minutes of spoken text. Film yourself or use AI avatar (HeyGen, Synthesia).

Step 7: Publish and schedule

Plan everything through Buffer, Hootsuite, or native tools.

Quality control

Three rules to avoid generic AI drivel:

  1. Add your own experience: cases, examples, anecdotes from your business
  2. Read everything yourself: AI hallucinates figures and facts — verify them
  3. Your own tone of voice: train AI on your best 5-10 pieces

Realistic results
